Accessibility Information
There is no direct access to the Pightle by car. There is a wide flat entrance, suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, from the 'Back Path' at the rear of Capulet Close. The Willow Bridge path, running from the corner of Shakespeare Road to the Willow Bridge, is also fully accessible by wheelchairs and mobility scooters. A large number of the paths around the Pightle are wide enough for wheelchair access or mobility scooters, however some of the pathways in the wooded areas are narrow and winding. All of our paths are tracks with woodchip coverings, and may be uneven in places.
Car parking is available near St Mary's Church. From the church, follow the footpath through the churchyard and northwards, where you can either access the Pightle from the Willow Bridge path (which crosses from the corner of Shakespeare Road towards the Willow Bridge), or continue on the Back Path beyond the cricket ground until you reach the original entrance to the Pightle on the right.
For more information on how to find the Pightle, see the 'Where is it' section on our 'About' page.
